We seek a passionate, software-oriented, Software Engineer to join the R&D team, in our TLV Site.

You will be joining the team responsible for our autonomous systems development. You will take part in all aspects of the process - from customer needs mapping and definition, through algorithms design, prototyping, and implementation, to production, continuous deployment, and support.

Responsibilities - what you’ll be doing:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including roboticists, hardware engineers, and software developers, to understand system requirements and translate them into software infrastructure solutions
• Implement software components to facilitate communication between different subsystems of the robotic system and external communications as well, ensuring smooth and reliable data flow
• Optimize software performance and memory management to ensure real-time responsiveness and efficient resource utilization
• Implement, improve, and maintain Robotics CI processes including tools such as Docker, GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild, etc
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in robotics software technologies and tools, and assess their potential integration into our software infrastructure

Requirements - does this describe you?

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in computer science
• 5+ years of practical software engineering experience in C++ - Must
• Experience with Linux operating systems
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and software development lifecycle
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyze complex software issues and propose effective solutions
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a team-oriented mindset
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions

Advantages - these will bring you to our front row:

• ROS/ROS2 development experience (C++) preferably in a professional setting
• Experience with autonomous driving systems, preferably off-road (major advantage)
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems, embedded systems, and microcontrollers is a plus
• Proven experience building more than one robotic system from scratch
