Chief Operating Officer

BeaMed is developing a new surgical platform that will reshape cancer and epilepsy treatments by use of a new image guided laser-based ablation technology. BeaMed is developing the StingRay Laser System, a novel laser-based thermal ablation technology designed for treatment of previously inoperable cases of epilepsy and for improvement of outcomes and enablement of new treatment options for oncology procedures, including those treating brain, prostate, liver, breast and lung cancers.

The StingRay System combines new fiber optic technology with an advanced laser console and computerized intelligent control that allows an excellent match between the structure of tumors and epileptic focal points and the energy delivery, while protecting vital functional areas against thermal damage. The console integrates advanced imaging modalities, and guides the physician, making sure the treatment is adjusted to the specific patient needs with real time energy control.

Ahead of commercial rollout in 2025, the company wishes to bring on board a young, talented and ambitious operational specialist to lead rollout planning, transfer to manufacturing, procurement, and full project management.

Primary Job Responsibility:

• Detailed planning for full commercial rollout execution plan globally
• Oversee project management of the execution plan including financial oversight
• Lead transfer of technology from development to manufacturing including procurement, supplier negotiations, and Design Master File completion
• Assist CEO in day to day management needs

Job Requirements:

• At least 5 years of relevant and meaningful experience in hands on execution and operations of medical devices including commercial rollout of medical devices on a global scale
• Very strong management and project management skills
• Specific experience with surgical products (preferably both capital and surgical disposables) a strong plus
• Knowledge and experience with R&D activities and transfer to manufacturing under ISO13485
• At least Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline, Master’s degree including business degree a plus
• Hands-on, highly driven, can-do attitude, fast-paced, independent and results driven
• Detail oriented with very strong interpersonal skills
