SQL Applicative DBA

We are an international software company, owned by the world's largest retailer of diamond jewelry.

We are the fastest-growing online retailer of engagement rings and loose diamonds, allowing customers to personalize and order engagement rings and other fine jewelry entirely online.

Responsibilities:

• Lead database development by working with other software developers
• Develop and maintain complex stored procedures
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on database engineering best practices
• Handle common database server optimization tasks.
• Performance-tuning SQL Server code and environments, and SQL profiling.
• Manage database security.
• Stay knowledgeable with the latest advances in SQL Server and other data technologies.
  
  

• 7+ years of experience developing, maintaining and administering MS SQL Server databases - Must.
• Experience with MS SQL Server 2017 - Must.
• Ability to read, interpret, and improve query execution plans.
• Expert T-SQL development skills including query optimization, stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers.
• Bachelor or Degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Ability to organize and plan work independently, with little to no supervision.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.
• Good communication skills.
• Quick learner.
