Backend Team Leader

WINT develops IoT hardware and software water-management solutions for the real-estate and industrial sectors.

The devices are installed in buildings – such as the Empire State Building and on construction sites. The system monitors usage patterns and uses Machine Learning, signal processing and statistical analysis techniques to detect anomalies and prevent leaks by shutting off water. Our customer prevents massive damage to facilities – which could reach millions of dollars per incident and save 20%-25% of their ongoing water consumption.

We are looking for a software development team leader for our Linux IoT devices. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of our advanced IOT software for our next-generation Linux-based Python and Java products. The tasks include planning milestones for new versions, code design, and implementation of our IoT business logic, device management, and AI algorithms.

• Lead the development of our advanced IoT software for Linux-based Python and Java products.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement high-quality software solutions.
• Mentor and guide team members to improve their skills and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Ensure that the team is meeting project goals and timelines.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.

• Sc. in computer science.
• 3+ years of experience in software development team leading.
• 3+ years of experience in backend Java.
• 3+ years of experience in Linux.
• 2+ years of experience in backend Python.
• A self-motivated, self-initiator engineer that enjoys creativity and has the passion for excellency and success.
• Development experience of IoT devices – Advantage
