Mechanical Engineer

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The position is to design process equipment according to the company knowhow and procedures and follow up relevant fabrication and installation. 

She/he shall co-ordinate with the other mechanical engineers as well as engineers from other disciplines in the best interest of the projects he/she is assigned to.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 

• Prepare and check technical documents, including:

- Modeling and calculations

- drawings 

- specifications

- vendor documents

- technical tabulations

- technical bid evaluation

• Co-ordinate with companies supplying engineering services

• Participate in internal meetings and in meetings with clients and suppliers

• Supervising fabrication at vendor shops in Israel & worldwide

• Supervising installation at client sites worldwide

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Mandatory Requirements

·            B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering

·            Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role preferably within the industry

(Engineering company, Chemical Process/Oil & Gas industries)

·            Proficient in SolidWorks

·            Proficient in MS Office applications

·            Fluent English spoken and written

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

·            Specific knowledge in GRP/FRP is advantageous

·            Competency in FEA is advantageous

·            Knowledge of ASME codes for vessels is advantageous

·            Knowledge of composite materials is advantageous

·            Basic knowledge of QA/QC requirements is advantageous
