Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer with expertise in Java and the Spring framework to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining multiple backend services within our platform, implementing our tech roadmap, and contributing to architecture and strategy decisions. Experience with Vertex, Reactive programming and AWS is highly desirable as it will provide a significant advantage in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for our platform.
• Implement scalable and efficient solutions using Java and the Spring framework.
• Work with several front-end teams to define and align APIs and approach.
• Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of backend services.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operation of services.
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of deployed services in the cloud environment.
• Continuously improve the deployment process by automating manual tasks and implementing best practices for infrastructure as code.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our platform.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with strong proficiency in Java and the Spring framework.
• Experience working on backend services in a fintech or banking environment is highly preferred.
• Experience with cloud platforms, AWS is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Vertex and reactive programming concepts is a significant advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, reach goals and overcome obstacles with minimal support.
