Introduction to the job

At ASML, we design, develop, market and service advanced lithography machines, which enable our customers – the world’s leading chipmakers – to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips.

For our Israel location, we're looking for a scanner applications engineer, responsible for providing and applying solutions to extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography application issues related to ASML's scanner and its performance enhancement options.

You’ll use the accumulated knowledge of our global applications engineering and R&D network and combine it with your analytical skills to identify opportunities and solutions that will enhance our customers' on-product performance. You’ll collaborate closely with our customers, and you'll play a pivotal role in introducing new technologies for high-volume manufacturing.

You’re expected to represent ASML as a technical expert in the field, and gain trust and recognition from our customers. Your work involves close interaction with our customers and the handling of sensitive data, so it's important to maintain a high level of integrity to ensure confidentiality. You'll also be responsible for translating customer issues into problem statements for ASML.

This role provides many opportunities to expand your technical expertise and assume project management or leadership skills. The position requires 1 year of extensive travel for training in Europe and the US. As a seed engineer, you'll be responsible for bringing EUV applications knowledge to Israel.

Role And Responsibilities

• Participate and/or lead projects aimed at supporting our customer transition to a new technology node or ramp up a specific technology node
• Define and drive customer need for current or potential products by using technical expertise and close customer engagement
• Translate a customer on-product issue into a potential lithography or metrology related problem statement, and resolve these issues to help maximize the performance and use of our products
• Participate in pro-actively identifying ASML applications product opportunities for our customers
• Perform data analysis to confirm that accurate conclusions are derived from the customer's acquired experimental data and reported results to ASML and the customer
• Prepare technical presentations for customer meetings
  
  

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from an Israel-based university
• Up to 3 years of system engineering experience or equivalent
• Fluent in both English and Hebrew
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking ability and problem-solving skills
• Able to perform any job at a high standard with minimum supervision
• Able to thrive in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment
• Scripting abilities for Matlab, Python or equivalent are a must
• Project management experience
