Design Quality Engineer

DRS RADA Technologies is seeking a Quality Engineer for products in the development phase.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop quality plans and strategies to ensure the developed product meets specified quality standards.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product quality and report on these metrics to stakeholders.
• Create and maintain documentation, such as test cases, test plans, and quality records.
• Continuously identify areas for process improvement and work with development teams to enhance product quality.
• Identify and assess potential risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and project managers, to ensure quality is integrated throughout the development process.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis to investigate the root causes of defects and work to prevent their recurrence.
• Ensure the product complies with relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications.
• Stay updated on the latest quality assurance tools, techniques, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

Experience:

• Proven experience of at least 3 years as a quality engineer in product development of complex hardware-based systems regulated under AS9100 standard requirements.
• Knowledge of quality control tools and methodologies like Six Sigma, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and SPC (Statistical Process Control).
• Proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) methodologies.
• Basic project management skills to plan and execute quality assurance activities within project timelines.

Education:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electronics/Mechanics/Another related field).
• CQE – advantage.

• Strong documentation skills for creating test plans, test reports, and quality records.
