Release Project Manager

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly organized and technically proficient Release Manager to oversee the end-to-end software release process. Since our products are installed on-premises in air gapped environments, mapping the deployment schedule and overseeing related communication with our customers is key.

Key Responsibilities

• Release Planning: Own the release calendar. Coordinate with Product and Engineering to define release scope, schedules, and milestones.
• Risk Management: Conduct release readiness reviews and "Go/No-Go" meetings. Identify potential bottlenecks or conflicts between concurrent feature releases.
• Environment Orchestration: Oversee the management of Staging, UAT, and Production environments, ensuring they are synchronized and properly configured.
• Incident & Post-Mortem Leadership: Lead the technical response during deployment failures. Facilitate blameless post-mortems (using S.M.A.R.T. action items) to ensure the same failure never happens twice.
• Compliance & Audit: (Critical for on-prem/air-gap) Maintain detailed release documentation and audit trails to meet regulatory and security requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 4+ years of experience in Release Management, Software Project Management, or Software Engineering.
• CI/CD Mastery: Expertise with tools like Jenkins, Jira, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Source Control: Advanced knowledge of Git and understanding of branching strategies, merging, and conflict resolution).
• Communication: Exceptional ability to translate technical risks into business impact for stakeholders. Cross team communication in a pleasant and motivational manner.
• Planning and coordination: Ability to formulate a plan from the tasks in the given timeline with the available workforce while coordinating with the stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Capital Markets: Knowledge or experience in the capital market field.
• Air-Gapped Environments: Experience managing software delivery in secure, offline, or highly regulated environments.
