About Our Client:

Our client is a rising force in the auto-insurance sector, leveraging data and AI to reshape the industry's future. With significant Series B funding propelling their growth, they’re now looking to expand their engineering presence in Tel Aviv and are on the hunt for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join them.

About the role:

Working directly with the Head of Engineering, you'll collaborate with product managers to build high-performing features and platforms that make a real impact. You will have the opportunity to influence product direction and get involved with early stage design as well as hands on development of one of their core platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions that drive innovation in the insurance domain.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, fellow engineers and data scientists to deliver sophisticated technical solutions.
• Architect robust and scalable systems capable of accommodating rapid growth, ensuring top-tier performance and reliability.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continual learning and technical excellence.
• Remain up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies, integrating them into development processes.

Role Requirements:

• Extensive experience as a backend software engineer, writing and maintaining production grade software..
• Proficiency in object oriented programming - the platform is built using python although the team is open to engineers with experience in other programming languages, as long as they are happy to work with python.
• Experience working directly with Product Managers.
• Experience building SAAS products.
• Understanding of HTTP APIs, webhooks, Message brokers, relational databases like Postgresql and non-structured databases, like Casandra.
• Working in containerized environments in the cloud (we use AWS), experience with serverless is a plus.
• A desire to work in a fast paced environment.
