Algorithm Engineer

A startup company in the automotive field, the company has developed a system for both internal and external scanning of vehicles using technologies such as computer vision, optics, hardware, and software. This intelligent scanning system can generate a three-dimensional model of vehicles and identify threats, changes, or hidden objects, thus detecting any small changes in a vehicle even while it is in motion.

The company has long-term strategic contracts that provide stability, economic support, and employment security.

As part of the role, joining a team specializing in Deep Learning in the field of computer vision involves addressing issues such as tracking, identification, image retrieval, anomaly detection, pose estimation, OCR, image registration, object detection, classification, segmentation, and implementing solutions in production. The work involves using PyTorch and TensorFlow.

The company is located in Tel Aviv, near the train line, and offers a remote work option.

Responsibilities:

● Lead the development and implementation of complex Computer Vision algorithms for automatic vehicle inspection systems.

● Create proof of concept for new products and technology.

● Mentor and advise team members in various tasks.

● Collaborate with team members to define future technology and features.

● Collaborate with different R&D and product departments to ensure the development of the optimal solution for UVeye requirements.

Requirements

● 5 years of experience with Computer Vision/Image Processing/Machine Learning algorithms and frameworks.

● Experience with leading a complex computer vision algorithm project.

● Relevant M.Sc. degree

● Experience mentoring other algorithm engineers.

● Solid Python coding skills.

● Deep understanding of basic computer vision theory in 3 or more of the following fields along with hands on experience in at least one of them:

● Basic Image processing – edge detection, gradient images, laplacian images, corner detection, morphological operations, image filtering, image warping.

● Excellent English.
