We are looking for a to join our Software Developer in Jerusalem. This is an amazing opportunity to work on Exlibris Research and Discovery Solutions. The team consists of 6 people and is reporting to the Developing manager. We have a great skill set in Java and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in Object-Oriented development with Java

About You – Experience, Education, Skills, And Accomplishments

Qualified candidates must have:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in similar roles.
• 2+ years of experience with multiple programming languages.
• 2+ years of Object-Oriented development with Java.
• 2+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL
• 2+ years of experience with relational databases – required.
• 2+ years of experience in automated testing (design, implementation, and execution)
  
  

It would be great if you also had . . .

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge and experience with databases (i.e. Cassandra), search engines (Solr), REST, Spring, Hibernate, and Tomcat technologies.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with Load Balancers, Networking/IP, Storage.
• Experience with scripting (Python/Bash) Regex and automation.
  
  

What will you be doing in this role?

The Developer’s job includes understanding the requirements defined by the business analysts, designing and implementing a technical solution, and facilitating testing and rollout of the feature. The work includes bug fixes, performance, stability, and long-term maintenance tasks, communicating with other teams, product owners, and our support analysts. You should be comfortable working in a self-organizing team that works from remote positions and be a part of a global team – which requires flexibility in hours to accommodate the working time zones of other team members.

The product you will be developing

The developer will be a member of the Discovery Development team, which is part of Exlibris Research and Discovery Solutions.

The team is a global team of 6 team members. (team calls are in English)

Our base is in the Jerusalem, Israel office, working in a hybrid model.

This is a full-time position.
