Head of Program

The Head of Program plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within the R&D, ensuring R&D alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives and reporting to the management on the development progress. This senior position involves planning, execution, and evaluation of the SDLC process to drive success and meet our targets and goals while incorporating agile methodology in the organization and striving for continuous improvements.

The Head of Program collaborates with various teams, stakeholders, and departments to ensure program success, fostering a culture of productivity, accountability and transparency between the R&D and different departments.

This job is located in Tel Aviv (hybrid).

Job Description

• Develop and implement a strategic vision for program management aligned with organizational objectives.
• Communicate program progress, risks, and achievements to management and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Provide leadership and direction to program managers
• Champion agile methodologies across the organization, providing guidance and leadership in the adoption and execution of agile principles.
• Lead the development and maintenance of agile frameworks tailored to the organization's needs
• Train and mentor teams on agile practices, ensuring a consistent and high level of understanding across departments.
• Lead the planning and execution of programs, ensuring they meet business requirements and are delivered on time
• Foster collaboration and communication across departments to ensure the seamless integration of program activities.
• Work closely with department heads to identify dependencies, mitigate risks, and optimize resource allocation.
• Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings to promote alignment and resolve issues.
• Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources across programs, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on program objectives.
• Establish and maintain risk management processes, ensuring that project teams are equipped to address challenges proactively.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate it into program improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certifications in project management or related areas is a plus
• Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably as a Head of Program or in a similar capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies and their practical application in diverse organizational settings, preferably with SAFe certifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
