Join our research team at the Integrative Pain Laboratory (iPainLab) based at the University of Haifa. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented person to contribute to our project, aimed at helping the rehabilitation of terror victims.

The project:

As part of this exciting opportunity, you will be at the forefront of testing a novel therapeutic approach for chronic pain management. This intervention will be implemented by family physicians, allowing us to evaluate its effectiveness in real-world, close-to-natural conditions. Additionally, you will investigate the multifaceted bio-psycho-neuro-social mechanisms underlying the potential benefits of this intervention, providing invaluable insights into the science of pain.

Your role:

As a key member of our team, you will take charge of project and study management, ensuring the smooth progression of our research endeavors. You will employ your expertise in computational analysis to extract meaningful insights from various data streams, including neurophysiological, movement, vocal, and textual data. By applying advanced signal processing techniques and utilizing natural language processing (NLP), you will uncover hidden patterns and correlations that shed light on the complexities of chronic pain.

Furthermore, you will play an instrumental role in disseminating our findings to the scientific community. Your exceptional scientific writing skills will be put to use in crafting impactful research papers, and you will have the opportunity to present our groundbreaking discoveries at esteemed scientific conferences, elevating the global conversation on chronic pain management.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates who possess either a clinical or research background in chronic pain or mental health conditions. Alternatively, individuals with computational expertise in neurophysiological/voice signal processing or advanced natural language processing (NLP) are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in machine learning using R or Python is an advantage, enabling you to leverage data-driven approaches in your research.
