Principal Product Manager, Intuit Foundational LLM

Building AI enabled financial advice, insights, predictions, forecasts, etc are core capabilities to drive our mission. With the rise of LLMs, solving them through conversations and generative AI is necessary to meet our customers’ expectations. At Intuit, we are now starting to build our own foundational large language model as the best of breed Financial LLM to help our customers with their day to financial needs.

We’re looking for a creative problem solver with deep technical knowledge of Data Science, LLM, GenAI, plus velocity and a passion for innovation and collaboration to join the Intuit AI team as a Product Manager. This product management team’s charter is to be the best of breed applied AI team to enable durable, reusable AI capabilities that will scale AI at Intuit. This key role will own the strategic direction, executable roadmap and measurable outcomes for building key components of the foundational large language model (we call it FILM) that will enable our cornerstone brands like Credit Karma, QuickBooks, Mailchimp, and TurboTax to deliver better AI driven products. Intuit AI product team plays a foundational role in setting the vision, strategy, AI capability to build an end to end solution that will make AI and GenAI accessible to everyone, to building smart financial applications that will delight our customers.

What you'll bring

• 7-10 years of combined GenAI, LLM, Machine Learning, and Technical Product Management experience
• Experience researching AI/ML/GenAI industry trends and applying to product strategy & roadmap
• Proven ability to partner effectively across functions with the ability to gain shared vision on challenging decisions and priority trade-offs.
• A proven track record of successfully implementing and evaluating deep learning, GenAI, and machine learning models on real-world data sets
• Strong combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in data labeling, data mining, feature selection, dimensionality reduction, statistical techniques, regression analysis,machine learning / deep learning, and LLM techniques
• Solid fundamentals with knowledge of machine learning / deep learning algorithms, classification, clustering, regression, reinforcement learning, CNN, RNN, probability theory, and algorithm design
• Solid foundation of natural language processing, generative AI and LLM recent developments (LLaMa2, BERT, BLOOM, GPT4, etc)
• Familiarity with Big Data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.) and Domain Driven Design approaches to data as a product
• Desired: MS or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or related technical field.
  
  

• Own the key strategy and vision of our FILM portfolio, understanding the broad needs of the PD teams in the different BUs, envisioning and executing the creation of a useful, repeatable, high-quality LLM that can solve multiple problems in different business contexts.
• Create delightful product experience alongside our in-product teams, such as Credit Karma, QuickBooks, Mailchimp, TurboTax, by building and evolving how to create delightful conversations within the product using FILM to provide advice, insights and recommendations that our customers have not seen before.
• Through the understanding of GenAI capabilities and understanding user needs, create AI enabled product experiences that will empower our business to display the smartness of AI powered decisions and predictions through their AI implementations.
• Establish and manage the roadmap for FILM for all Intuit wide smart product experiences, leading trade-offs among priorities, strategic bets, and other considerations
• Establishing strong partnerships with key partners across Intuit to enable FILM to be the single most important financial LLM that powers all of our customer experiences in conversational style.
• Clearly articulate Intuit AI vision, strategies, priorities, and desired outcomes with key partners across Intuit
• Leverage usability studies, business and product usage data, external industry trends, and metrics to create AI enabled experiences that business cannot live without.
