About the team:

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Recommendation Platform team in the Central Tech department. As part of this team, you will be responsible for building personalized recommendations using machine learning across our site. You will also play a key role in our new GenAI project, the AI Trip Planner. You will work with a talented team of engineers and data scientists to improve user experience and make our products even better.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Developing scalable and high-performance data pipelines
• Ensuring data quality in our core datasets and pipelines
• Solving data-related issues and prioritizing based on customer impact
• Experimenting with new tools and technologies
• Providing tools to improve data quality and self-organizing tools for analytics
• Communicating with technical and non-technical audiences
• Promoting innovative engineering solutions
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  
  

Role Qualifications and Requirements:

We are looking for Data Engineers who are problem solvers and enjoy finding solutions. Here are the requirements we have found to be a good fit:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer or Data Engineer
• Degree in a quantitative field
• Experience with cloud-based data pipelines and ML solutions
• Knowledge of Python, Java/Scala (a plus)
• Familiarity with various data tools and technologies
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with ML monitoring and evaluation tools (a plus)
