Operations Manager- Frontend Engineering

Job Description

• Be part of the FED (frontend developers) guild's management team, managing our community of over 650 developers worldwide
• Lead projects that strengthen Wix’s Frontend community, increasing engagement, sharing knowledge and improving productivity. This includes guild events, team courses, company fun days, offsites etc.
• Act as an ambassador of the FED Guild, presenting yourself and the group as communicative, articulate, responsive, and strategic
• Manage cross-company tech projects and drive the group’s goals considering all aspects from high-level to execution
• Ensure knowledge sharing by creating and updating communication platforms (website, newsletters, etc.)
• Lead day-to-day activities, making sure we’re on track with our plans, while improving processes as the team’s main POC and collaborating with other departments
• Recognize needs, propose action plans, and directly manage new initiatives or ideas with the goal to constantly improve and strengthen the FED community
  

Qualifications:

• A creative technology lover with 2+ years of operations experience
• You know how to set up interesting workshops, conferences, meetups and other fun events in the Dev community
• You’re an organized project manager who loves coming up with a good strategy and knows how to plan for the long term
• You’ve worked with multiple teams across many disciplines and locations in a dynamic and fast-moving high-tech environment
• You know what to ask, when to ask it, and who to get the answer from and you have great interpersonal skills
• You’re a problem-solving genius, and embrace a collaborative working style
• Your leadership skills allow you to motivate people, set the pace and efficiently implement processes and routines
• You know how to boost and promote success stories to encourage future participation and come up with awesome techniques to keep employees engaged
  

About The Team
We are Wix’s Business Operations Guild. We are the operational engine, which leads, plans, and facilitates the execution of Wix’s day-to-day and long-term strategy. We aim to ensure operational excellence, rethink existing processes, improve dev velocity, and ensure projects run smoothly. To do this, we work closely with group heads, coordinate between teams, prioritize requests, and manage the day-to-day operations of our team. We’re comfortable diving into new domains and staying organized amid ambiguity.
