We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join Gilat’s Defense Solutions team.
As a Sales Engineer, you will be a technical pivot in Gilat’s activities in the Global Defense domain. You will closely support sales and post-sale processes and will lead diverse systems-integration activities, both within the Defense Solutions group and throughout the company. You will carry out feasibility studies and demos, systems design, networks sizing and link budget analyses for a variety of products and solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Overall technical responsibility for a variety of presale and post-sale activities revolving Gilat’s Defense Sales
- Lead complex system integration activities with Gilat’s solutions and components from external vendors to enhance the company’s offering
- Orchestrate cross-company technical efforts supporting strategic sales campaigns
- Understand and analyze customers’ requirements and address technical challenges
- Perform complex network designs (including link budgets, network sizing and Solutions BOMs)
- Prepare and deliver product presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients and to customers
- Manage RFP processes, closely collaborating with Operations, Product, R&D and Project mgmt.
- Plan, coordinate and manage Proof of Concept demonstrations and field trials
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years of professional experience in an engineering role
- At least 2 years of engineering experience in the satellite communications field – big advantage!
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Master’s degree in Engineering – an advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in both Hebrew and English
- Strong ability to effectively lead projects and motivate teams in a corporate-matrix environment
- Organized and independent, with a “get things done” approach
- Strong interpersonal, customer service and sales skills
- Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
