5G PHY Algorithm Engineer

Gilat is searching for a 5G physical layer algorithm engineer to join its highly proficient algorithm team, responsible for all Gilat modem algorithms and architecture. The position requires someone comfortable with all aspects of communication physical layer and signal processing, as well as embedded design.

• Research, design, and implement new satellite modem algorithms in 5G (and 6G in the future!) standards

REQUIREMENTS

• B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering – a must; M.Sc./Ph.D. – an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience in 4G/5G physical layer – a must.
• 5+ years of experience in the physical layer development of a communication system.
• Signal processing familiarity – a must.
• Knowledge of MATLAB – a must.
• Familiarity with Digital Hardware (DMA/Interrupts/FPGA/serdes).
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Innovative and proactive.
• Highly proficient in English.
