Java Team Leader

Job Description:

• Lead a team of 4 to 8 developers and implementation engineers, coming from several development centers.
• Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of end-user insurance enterprise software.
• Estimates effort and timelines for the change.
• Perform development on a JAVA platform for the change and test.
• Provide post-implementation support including analysis of production problems.
• 20%-50% Hands On work – system code development.
• Recruit, mentor, and train new developers.

Requirements:

• 4 relevant years in JAVA Technologies.
• At least 2 years’ experience within leading teams of Java developers.
• Experience with JSP, AJAX, Java 8 and up.
• Experience in working with Ms-Sql or other relational DB.
• EJB, SQL, Hibernate – Must.
• Hand on experience on Webservices.
• Excellent English skills (reading, writing, speaking).
• Full lifecycle development experience (Agile as well as waterfall).
• Good conceptual, analytical, mathematical skills.
• Good learner and self-starter, and a team player, ready for the next challenge good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good customer communication skills.
• Ability to work and lead under pressure.
• Domain experience in the Insurance Industry desired, preferably in “Property and Casualty” – Advantage
• Experience working with enterprise application architecture frameworks – Advantage.
