Position Summary

The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with donor and partner contractual obligations. A significant portion of this compliance work concerns the organization’s cooperative agreement with the United States Agency of International Development (USAID). Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated experience working with

USAID. The Compliance Manager will report to the Director.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as first point of contact for USAID Agreement Officer Representative (AOR) in matters relating to compliance
• Responsible for ensuring and overseeing organizational compliance to the organization’s cooperative agreement with USAID, including compliance with Mission Order 21
• Responsible for regular, accurate and timely reporting to USAID, including but not limited to DIS, vetting, and in accordance with cooperative agreement. This includes meeting pre-set deadlines and responding to ad-hoc requests from the AOR
• Responsible for supporting Financial Manager and field staff to ensure subaward and vetting requirements are complied with in a timely and accurate manner
• Audit organizational procedures on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with USAID standards
• With the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager, make regular field visits and spot checks to ensure monitoring materials are being collected regularly and that activities comply with requirements
• Work with Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager to ensure accurate and timely records are kept

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have 2+ years’ experience in a USAID compliance role
• Superb level of spoken and written English (native tongue level)
• Minimum of undergraduate degree or equivalent; graduate degree is an asset
• Detail oriented and organized
• Strong command of excel
• Proficiency with computers and ability to quickly learn new software
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team
• High level of professionalism
• Written and spoken Hebrew and Arabic are an asset
• Passion for the organization’s mission and identification with core values

Location: PeacePlayers will provide an office in Tel Aviv (location TBD) and is flexible with an in-

office/hybrid combination. The organization works in Jerusalem, central and northern Israel and in

several West Bank communities. The candidate will be required to visit certain programs in the field

as needed.

Hours: Part-time: 30 hours per week

Salary: 8,000 to 10,000 ILS per month – commensurate with experience
