LiDAR System Architect

Description

The System Architecture team is responsible for specifying and designing Innoviz's lidar products, which are complex multidisciplinary systems consisting of HW, optics, Algorithms, MEMS, mechanics, and SW. The team is the technical authority on system considerations, and concept verification including performance, reliability, and functional safety.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and designing architecture for advanced optoelectronic systems. You will work closely with the design teams who implement the different architectural features and sub-systems.

Responsibilities

• Define how the product meets product-level requirements.
• Develop system architecture of sub-systems, features, and algorithms, and define the verification criteria for the different requirements.
• Break down requirements to the different system disciplines.
• Analysis and simulation of system performance and characteristics.
• Working together with other system engineering teams, SW architecture teams, and other disciplines (HW, SW, optics, CV, etc) on the integration and bring-up.
• Researching novel system architecture concepts and solving highly complex and multi-disciplinary problems.
• Developing system-level algorithms including POC, quantitative analysis, calibration analysis, and supporting system engineering team in the implementation and debugging.
• Working closely together with the product team and with customers.
  
  

• B.Sc. Electrical Engineering from a leading academic institute. M.Sc. – Advantage
• At least 5 years of experience in R&D roles
• At least 2 years of experience in system engineering or optical system engineering roles
• Experience with Matlab or Python
• Experience with signal processing - Advantage
• Experience with electro-optical systems and sensors – Advantage
• Hands-on experience in HW or embedded SW design – Advantage
• Experience with requirement management tools - Advantage

• High proficiency in technical English
