Senior Game Designer & Implementor

UG Labs is looking for a senior game designer and implementer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be leading our game design, and help us implement games using the latest in generative AI. You will need to take games from concept and ideation, all the way to prompt engineering and testing. This role demands a unique blend of leadership and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in mobile game design, and programming and come from a background in either casual gaming or edutainment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design engaging & interactive voice-based games for children.
• Implement new games using conversation design, programming and prompt-engineering techniques
• Collaborate with strategic partners, clients and cross-functional stakeholders
• Analyze feedback, metrics, and industry trends to refine and enhance our gaming experiences and gaming engine

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of industry experience in game design
• Experience designing, launching, monitoring, tracking and evolving a live service title
• Experience in casual gaming or edutainment
• Experience in mobile gaming
• Proficient in coding with the ability to master new programming languages
• Deep knowledge of game design, game mechanics, tools, engines and processes
• Passion for gaming, a keen pulse on industry shifts and utilization of new technologies
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English
• An egoless attitude that enjoys working in a collaborative, iterative, and dynamic environment

What would help you stand out?

• Experience or familiarity with AI-driven gameplay experiences.
• Experience designing games for children.
• Experience programming in Python
• Familiarity with Prompt Engineering and LLMs
