Literally Media’s beloved and well-known staple site Cheezburger is looking for a talented writer, who enjoys and understands humor and Internet culture and can work quickly and to a high standard, writing about trending topics.

The role is a part-time role, at our Israeli office. That means you’ll be working from our Herzliya offices, alongside our talented editorial staff, writing listicles and articles, searching for fun and trending topics to write about, and writing several pieces of engaging content a day. Our focus is on creating a fun experience for our audience, with a strong emphasis on data-based performance.

Cheezburger includes various iconic brands like Fail Blog, ICanHasCheezburger, Memebase, and Geek Universe.

Location: Herzliya

Hours: Part-Time

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Search for trending/new content that could fit our global audience.
• Write interesting and entertaining content: sum up and curate funny meme lists, add your own introduction and commentary to trending discussions you find on Reddit, pick out the greatest tweets around a specific topic and write your own commentary on it, and more.
• Create Facebook thumbnails, IG posts and stories, and TikToks to help promote the content.
• Work together with the creative teams to strategize new ways for growth.
  
  

• Native English (a must!).
• Excellent grammar skills and story-telling abilities.
• Highly organized and quick on the keyboard.
• Commitment to a positive, cooperative outlook.
• A good eye for graphics and ability to work with tools like Canva.
• Ability to work independently and commit to meeting goals and targets.
• Must love and understand internet culture, pop culture, and web communities (seriously, you must love the internet, know weird subreddits and current meme trends, etc.).
• Experience in content writing, editing, and professional social media work - a significant advantage.
