Communications System Engineer

1. Planning, specification and analysis of data communication systems: Planning communication networks and setting up new infrastructures for new buildings.
2. Management and ongoing maintenance of the communication network, integration between different platforms and technologies.
3. Identification, assimilation, development and maintenance of an advanced communication technology, including communication protocols.
4. Design of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems serving all communication switches.
5. Development and maintenance of VOIP communication technology.
6. Management of data monitoring, collection and analysis of the integrity of the various communication systems and their performance, and integrating improvements and additions to the various systems, supervising the quality of the work of external contractors.
7. Documentation of the communication systems, and troubleshooting communication malfunctions and system-wide malfunctions in meeting the department's service goals.
8. Define specifications for communication equipment, conducting market surveys and testing the use of the equipment among existing users.
9. Provide ongoing advice in the field of the unit’s activity, and producing statistical reports.
10. Perform additional tasks under the supervisor’s direction.

Job Requirements:

1. Telecommunications engineer or electronic and electrical engineer or data systems or software engineer or computer science engineer.
2. Three years’ experience in data communications.
3. Preferably experience in communication networks security.
4. Experience in managing and operating communication networks.
5. Preferably experience in working with advanced telecommunication technologies, such as IPv6, VOIP, wireless communications, communication networks control systems.
