Global Direct Procurement Manager (Temp Position)

Managing a spend of hundreds of millions of dollars, we are looking for someone who thrives in balancing cost, service, innovation, and partnerships with the ambition to deliver a substantial step up in profitable growth of the current perimeter.

This position reports to the Head of Global Procurement.

This is a temporary position (replacement for maternity leave) with option for a permanent position.

Main responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of category managers and buyers, providing support for strategic raw materials, sub-contractors, packaging, and buying items.
• Develop and implement strategies for direct procurement.
• Externally connect with Suppliers and Industry leaders to understand advancements and initiatives being carried out along the value chain.
• Analyze, report, and track progress on projects and initiatives.
• Follow market conditions and analyze market trends to help define strategy and bring insights to the internal stakeholders.
• Identify metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities, and efficiencies.
  
  

• University degree from an accredited college or university.
• 10+ years of experience in procurement with a focus on direct procurement, including packaging materials, plastic, and other materials.
• 5+ years of management experience.
• Demonstrate analytical and conceptual problem-solving ability; excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Experience on large-scale, complex change management projects with multi-stakeholder interface.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Self-starter mentality.
• Experience in Cross-Functional working and Ability to interact with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
• Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholders, projects, and deadlines, with strong analytical and negotiation skills and a "can-do" mentality.
• Appetite for change and eagerness to collaborate with stakeholders to drive through improvements.
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology and its application.
• Strong verbal and written communication in Hebrew and English, including creating and delivering effective presentations.
• Travel requirement:
• Domestic: Must be willing to travel once a week to our factories in Lehavim.
• International: per business needs.
