Scale Up Scientist

Meatafora is seeking a skilled Bioreactor Engineer for a Research & Development position. The ideal candidate will be studying the accumulated knowledge in the cultivation of cells in STR bioreactors for foodtech and cell therapy applications in order to develop methods to produce our cultured meat product at scale.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Set up, operation, and maintenance of bioreactors systems.
• Assist in development and scaled-up of Meatafora’s manufacturing process.
• Design and execution of experiments.
• Protocols and reports writing and documentation.
• Analyze data, draw conclusions, present results and propose next steps.

Qualifications:

• Advanced academic degree (MSc, PhD) in Biotechnology Engineering or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant industrial experience in upscaling processes in bioreactors systems.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in bioreactors and process development.
• Basic knowledge of cell biology (stem cells/primary cells).
• Strong scientific orientation, solid planning and reasoning skills, strong hands-on capabilities, order, organization, and accuracy.
