Test Automation Security Engineer

We are looking for a test automation security engineer with the sort of expertise you need to write tests for secure mission critical software for the world’s largest banks and financial institutions. We are looking for the sort of people who have validated cryptographic algorithms and who have tested scalable web services and found the vulnerabilities before the bad guys did

Responsibilities

●    Design and implement automation tests for security features for the Lightbits complete data platform, a complex high performance system that runs on premises and in multiple clouds.

●       Develop, enhance and maintain testing tools, plugins and frameworks

●       Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

●       Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and architects) to identify system requirements

●       Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases

●       Debug, define and implement corrective actions following test failures

●       Open and manage issues through our bug tracking system (JIRA)

Desired Skills and Experience

●       Excellent knowledge and experience in validating secure software. Familiarity with common exploits and testing for their presence.

●       Experience with encryption and key management is an advantage. Web services security, keys rotation, service-to-service comms security, etc.

●       Proven programming experience and competence to code in various programming languages such as Python.

●       Ability to work independently and push through to completion. We value getting things done.

●       2+ years of experience as a testing automation engineer, ideally in a security related area.
