Chemistry Lab Assistant

OVERVIEW

·       Chemistry Lab Assistant, the principal tasks will be to be part of the R&D team, assist and support R&D tasks, conducting experiments, tests, and formulation preparation in a laboratory setting. We are seeking candidates with an open-minded approach, independent thinking skills, and a strong attention to detail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Lab Preparation: Perform a range of laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses.

·       Production: Preparation of solutions, gels, and formulations according to the R&D and Operation’s needs.

·       Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety guidelines and implement safety measures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

·       Equipment Maintenance: follow up on Calibration requirements, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment. Report any malfunctions or issues for prompt resolution.

·       Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of chemicals, glassware, and supplies, and assist in ordering replacements as needed.

·       Data Entry: Accurately record experimental data and results. Asist in writing protocols, reports, and relevant documentation in English.

REQUIREMENTS

·       A bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field

·       Prior experience in a laboratory environment – at least 1 year. Previous experience in medical device or in clinical environment is an advantage.

·       Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and the ability to follow them diligently.

·       Organizational skills and attention to detail.

·       Technical documentation reading and writing skills in English – a must.

·       Proficiency in using common laboratory equipment (pH-meter, viscometer, spectrophotometer) and software applications.

·       Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

·       Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures.

·       Multi-disciplinary understanding.

·       MS Office proficiency.
