Senior Software Engineer Team Lead

Mysticsense, renowned for its superior online psychic services, is currently seeking. 

hands-on Senior Backend Developer and Team Leader. This role involves leading a team of developers and directly contributing to our development process. Join us, and utilize your expertise to enhance the personalized experiences we offer to our global audience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of our products using Django and Python 3 for server-side logic, with JavaScript and Mithril.js for the client side.
• Own your domain to ensure code quality, performance, and scalability of our products.
• Collaborate with product designers and other developers to build and release new features.
• Integrating third-party services and APIs such as Stripe, PayPal, and Twilio.
• Deliver high-quality, production-ready code on schedule and actively participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to cross-product integrations and help shape our product with your innovative ideas.

What we seek:

• 5 or more years of software development experience using Python and JavaScript.
• 2 or more years of experience in software development team leading.
• Proficiency in Django and its template language Jinja.
• Proven experience in leading development teams while still being involved in hands-on development.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues that may arise during development.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, as you may be working on a team with other developers and researchers.
• Proficient in integrating various third-party APIs, with adaptability to swiftly learn and implement new ones as required.

A plus if you have:

• Good familiarity with SQL, particularly MySQL.
• Familiarity with AWS services, particularly S3, Athena, RDS, Load Balancer, CloudFront, and Redis.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases, particularly DynamoDB
• Familiarity with security best practices in software development.
• Experience with agile software development methodologies and version control systems.
