Agriculture R&D Project Manager

At CollPlant we are developing innovative technologies in the fields of regenerative medicine, 3D bioprinting of tissues and organs and medical aesthetics. We are looking for an Agriculture R&D Project Manager to join our organization.

Location: Rehovot with weekly travels to our Northern site located nearby Rosh Pina.

Job description

· Develop and execute the strategy for the agricultural R&D department in alignment with the

company's objectives.

· Identify emerging technologies in molecular biology and agriculture, and explore ways to

implement them in the companies’ agricultural technology to gain production yield and reduce

costs.

· Design and implement molecular biology experiments to implement plant genetics, gene

expression, and molecular pathways .

· Utilize advanced molecular techniques such as PCR, DNA sequencing, gene editing (e.g., CRISPR-

Cas9), and genotyping to modify and improve crop properties.

· Lead field studies including setup of experimental plan, protocols, follow up, data collection and

analysis.

· Plan and execute experiments to genetically improve the company plants line.

· Write study protocols and reports.

· Manage breeding program and genetically modified plants bank.

· Collaborate and coordinate activities with relevant company functions (Ops, QA, QC, RA).

· Collaborate with sub-contractors.

• Establish project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure efficient

project completion.

Education and experience requirements

· PhD in plant Sciences

· Proficiency in molecular biology techniques and genetic engineering tools: tissue culture, gene

expression, plasmid transformation, CRISPR-cas 9, genes insertions

· Specialized in plant physiology, breeding (preferred crop plants)

· Hands-on experience in field studies for breeding (Industry) or related

· Good understanding of agronomy and plant physiology

· Good knowledge and experience with data management and statistical analysis

· Project management skills

· Valid driving license (the position requires frequent visits to field sites and weekly visits to the

North site).
