About The Role

Tigo Energy is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to use scientific methodologies and circuit design techniques to develop manufacturable products from a comprehensive integrated systems perspective.

Tigo builds hardware and software intelligence into solar energy installations, making them more efficient, more manageable, and safer. What You Will Be Doing

• Plan, manage, and execute the design, development, and integration for high-volume manufacturing of hardware components
• Hands-on involvement with developing proof-of-concept designs, prototypes of power electronics hardware
• Analyze manufacturing options to optimally meet overall system integration requirements and objective
  
  

What We Would Like To See

• BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering and 3-8 years of recent and relevant high-power design
• Design for manufacturing experience
• Successfully demonstrated taking a product from design to high volume manufacturing
• Strong analytic skills in analog circuit design
• Sufficient hands-on experience with designing various kinds of DC/DC conversion circuits
• Circuit analysis with PSpice and/or MATLAB required
• Knowledge of DC/AC Grid tied Inverters
• Knowledge of digital power circuit design and implementation desired
• Self-motivated and determined
