Minimum Qualifications To Apply For This Role

• 12+ years of experience in finance, mostly in startups or high-growth tech companies
• At least 4 years of experience in a similar role or other senior finance leadership roles.
• Strong and proven leadership skills
• Knowledge, deep understanding and proven experience in financial principles practice, budgeting and forecasting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

• Experience within a finance function of a Fintech company
  
  

How your day is going to look, what will you be doing?

• Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to guide decision-making at the executive and board levels. Lead financial analysis, reporting, control and reconciliation activities to monitor and assess the company's financial performance.
• Implement best practices in financial management and accounting to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and optimization of resources. Prepare internal financial information and KPIs as needed by the business and other reports and/or financial information required by third parties on a regular basis
• Grow, lead, and inspire the finance team to ensure that all business objectives and team KPIs are met. Establish and set team KPIs.
• Establish strong working relationships across the business to ensure accurate and timely financial information is provided to and/or obtained as and when required
• Ad hoc project work and financial analysis as required to support the business.

About The Finance Department

The Finance department takes an active role in designing features, managing the flow of funds, and decision-making. We monitor Melio’s gross profit and keep a close eye on all other financial data.
