Electrical Engineer

WANTED: Teaching & Research Laboratory Engineer

a. Provision of engineering and technical services for the department’s research and teaching labs.

b. Technical and engineering responsibility for the proper functioning of the research and teaching labs and the development of new capabilities: Taking care of the laboratory equipment, planning and development of the technical aspect of inorganic growth processes, development of tools for computer-aided control of experiments and the advancement of new measurement and fabrication methods in the lab.

c. Ongoing and periodic maintenance of the scientific instrumentation.

d. Development and renewal of experiments in the department's labs.

e. Provision of guidance and assistance to students conducting projects and research in the labs.

f. Provide assistance to faculty members in demonstrating the experiments in the teaching classrooms.

g. Procurement of equipment and instruments for the department's labs: Negotiating with suppliers, placing orders, etc.

h. Safety officer and responsible for the implementation of safety procedures as part of his/her activity in compliance with the provisions of the law.

i. Perform additional tasks under the supervisor’s direction.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

a. B.Sc. in physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, materials engineering, chemical engineering; M.Sc. - preferable.

b. Three years’ experience in the relevant fields.

c. Experience working with one of the planning and measurement software tools, such as: Solidworks, Matlab, Labview .

d. Experience in maintenance and operation of lab equipment and computers.

e. Teaching experience - preferable.
