Senior Looker Developer

We’re seeking an accomplished Looker Developer to join our team.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments such as Analytics, Monetization, Marketing, Product, VIP, Finance, and Support.

You will have end-to-end responsibility for the Looker Business Intelligence (BI) platform, encompassing LookML and modeling management, user and activity management, feature implementation, performance enhancement, and the creation of dashboards while fostering a high-quality Looker-centric work culture within the organization.

In addition, this role represents a pioneering opportunity within our organization, as it is the first of its kind. You will have the distinctive opportunity to refine and optimize Looker's implementation, structure, and methodology within our existing framework.

You will play a pivotal role in enhancing and streamlining Looker's strategic integration and ongoing success across our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Craft and develop LookML models and explore dashboards and workflows within the Looker platform.
• Oversee dashboard and explore performance, utilizing a wide range of Looker techniques to optimize platform performance.
• Organize and manage Looker projects, leveraging relevant LookML features and adhering to best practices.
• Implement, maintain, and manage Looker permissions, structure, and methodologies.
• Establish a clear, factual, self-explanatory, and user-friendly semantic layer with an emphasis on thorough documentation and data accessibility.
• Develop, design, and support interactive dashboards and reports, employing data visualization techniques.
• Be responsible for system and user activity, ensuring ongoing maintenance and control of system usage and loads.
• Develop automations using the Looker API for effective platform management, establish control in high-scales.
• Stay updated on technological advancements and lead the implementation of new tools within the platform, such as blocks, applications, features, functions, visualizations and more.
• Collaborate closely with the Analytics department to ensure data accessibility, integrity, and reliability.
• Provide Looker business and technical support to stakeholders.
  
  

• Hold a BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Systems Management, or an equivalent background.
• Possess 5+ years of experience in the BI Development and BI Platforms field, with proficiency in tools like Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI.
• Demonstrate 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Looker Platform.
• Be fully proficient in SQL, capable of crafting complex queries and optimizing them for performance.
• Exhibit significant expertise in LookML models, semantic layers, looks, and dashboards.
• Have experience serving as a Looker admin.
• Maintain a positive and collaborative attitude, excelling in both team-based and independent work settings.
• Possess strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate challenges into actionable solutions.
• Prior experience with leading BI and reorganization projects is a plus.
• Conducting user training and workshops is an advantageous skill.
