Director, Product Management, Waze

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Transportation and Logistics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in product management leadership or product conception, launching, building, and growing multiple products.
• Experience in people management and scaling teams, leading global and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience building digital consumer products.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with product management (e.g., product vision/roadmaps, writing product requirement documents, and shipping products with high impact).
• Experience operating or leading cross-functional teams (e.g., product management, implementation, legal, finance, marketing, etc.).
• Ability to articulate strategy and define roadmap in new and inventive ways.
• Ability to represent business or technical concepts.

About The Job

As the Director of Product Managment for Waze, you will drive Waze products, strategy, roadmap, and execution. Waze is a Product Team within Google’s Geo organization, you will be a member of the core product management leadership community within the Geo organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for building relationships with other partner teams in Geo and across Google. Geo is focused on building accurate, comprehensive, and useful mapping technology for the users, through products.

You will also be responsible for leading strategy and execution for the Waze products while building and leading a team of product managers. Geo powers helpful, trusted, and innovative digital representation of the world for the user ecosystems. As a team, Waze is committed to a culture of collaboration and community.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Waze product leader, building, managing and executing a global product vision, strategy and roadmap, in strong partnership with the Engineering, UX and Brand team, as well as other cross functional stakeholders.
• Coordinate product strategy and lead through influence and persuasion across numerous partner teams, working across all aspects of the business; including regular interactions from stakeholders across Google such as Marketing, Partnerships Sales, and Growth.
• Employ analytics and data science to understand and continuously improve product metrics and performance.
• Represent Waze at executive level discussions, external organizations, and industry events.
