- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in defining and developing computer system architectures for computing.
- Experience in performance optimization of workloads and systems workloads.
- Experience with large language models and/or other transformer based algorithms.
- Experience with integration of LLM’s or other ML models to applications and services.
- Experience with software and hardware co-design.
- Experience supporting interconnects, memory architecture, and networking.
- Knowledge of chip architecture and chip design flow.

As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. As a Systems Architect, you will have the opportunity to participate in the development of future computer architectures that are tailored towards running machine learning algorithms in the utmost efficiency, while maintaining the necessary flexibility for new algorithmic methods and use case innovations.
In this role, you will create State-Of-The-Art (SOTA) machine learning and large language models that run efficiently on the compute system. You will also have the opportunity to create new and groundbreaking algorithms, architectures and tools, and help drive towards the future of ML centric systems.

Responsibilities
- Develop and prototype modular and scalable system architecture approaches that will drive ML systems to new levels of efficiency.
- Develop new methods for ML system specialization, including new methods for dynamic and static adaptability techniques.
- Develop platforms and tools that will allow co-definition and development of algorithms and systems. Participate in driving these tools throughout the relevant Google groups.
- Participate in developing methodologies and tools for algorithm and system co-design.
- Participate in developing algorithms and tools for automatic generation of chip architecture and design collateral.
