Our team is a part of the Cloud Security Intelligence group which owns one of the largest Big Data environments in Israel. The team provides cloud platforms for Akamai's Big Data Security products. CSI group is responsible for innovating, developing, and maintaining the platform services across environments.

Working in a fast-moving Big Data Platform Cloud Security

You will maintain and develop new components and features for our big data platform and products. Our platform manages a high data scale and uses the intelligence of our data to create cutting-edge security products.

As a Java Software Engineer, you will be responsible for-

• Developing & maintaining Big Data platform solutions. using various frameworks such as Spring/Spark on top of Azure/Linode cloud environments.
• Designing documents for new applications and features ensuring they meet the requirements and the solution is scalable, maintainable, and efficient.
• Collaborating with other teams to create a unique customer experience.
• Understanding and resolving complex technical problems.
  
  

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will-

• Have a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Have 3+ years of experience in Java, using Spring.
• Have experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Have experience in designing, building, and maintaining enterprise systems in a big data environment on public cloud.
• Have experience with Big Data systems to support batch and streaming processing, e.g. Apache Spark, Kafka, etc.
