The opportunity

The local treasurer serves as business partner to his/her local finance and business colleagues for all treasury activities and in order to achieve the business objectives as well as Teva's Global Treasury overarching goals. Business Partner to IL entities finance teams on Treasury matters (IL Commercial, SLE, HQ and Others) and guide peers on cash flow forecasting, working capital and currency exposure matters.

How you’ll spend your day

The local treasurer is responsible for all areas of treasury operations and business partnerships in a specific country. This includes, among others:

• Evaluate and manage financial risks, such as interest rate, FX, credit, and counterparty risks
• Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions
• Cash flow and liquidity:
• o Monitor and forecast cash positions and liquidity needs
• o Collaborating with the Corporate and local teams; developing relevant measurement and KPIs; guiding and training the finance and non-finance organizations on relevant policies and procedures that impact cash flow to ensure accurate forecasts and risk management
• o Support the foundations for systems implementation to promote digital Treasury capabilities in the coming years
• Manage and control Bank Guarantees and Letters of credit
• Inter-company funding and financing optimization
• Implement and ensure compliance with all relevant Treasury Policies and guidelines
• Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management and stakeholders
• Active role in promoting an advanced risk management culture
• The Local Treasurer leads the working capital optimization for their respective unit/market, including determining and monitoring targets and implementing best practices in collaboration with other stakeholders

Your experience and qualifications

• 5+ years experience in treasury, or relevant work experience
• Familiar with financial markets, interest rate dynamics, and foreign exchange
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related degree
• MBA is preferred
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, and Treasury management systems is preferred
