Content Manager

Alomone Labs, a growing biotech company, who for the past 30 years has been developing, manufacturing and marketing reagents (antibodies, toxins and peptides) for biological and biomedical research, and has since developed a reputation as a reliable supplier of such products among life sciences researchers in universities, research institutes and pharmaceutical companies across the world, is looking to recruit a Scientific Content Manager.

Applicants must hold an M.Sc./PhD in life sciences, who see scientific writing in English as their craft, and have a marketing approach. This is a senior position that holds promotion potential.

Areas of Responsibilities

• Creating an annual work plan and a strategy for developing and creating scientific content for various platforms, print and digital - according to the company’s business marketing strategy.
• Developing an array of content products which creates a marketing funnel, creating content for product pages, categories, trial protocols, social media posts/blog, newsletters etc.
• Developing the company’s marketing-scientific language in terms of narrative, dialect and tone - HO writing and editing content created by content writers and/or researchers in the company.
• Leading a team of scientific writers and copywriters (recruiting employees/freelancers, providing instructions, guidance and feedback, conducting internal peer review).
• Analyzing content performances, ability to read and understand reports (Google Analytics etc.) and performing adjustments aimed at maximizing content performances, improving conversion rates and optimizing the customer experience - conducting A/B testing to examine content, content type and style.
• Reading competitors’ materials, identifying significant keywords and trends in content, adapting the content to the different markets and to the varying needs of customers/distributors/suppliers.  
• Working closely with VP of Sales, head of the digital marketing department, digital agency, programmers, scientific writers and copywriters, graphic designers, the R&D, marketing and sales departments, as well as external advisors.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or above in life sciences - required.
• At least 2-4 years experience in writing marketing scientific content in the biology research field - required.
• At least 2 years experience in lab work with reagents and understanding of lab working techniques - advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under a tight schedule.
• Willingness to communicate with people from all over the world at all hours of the day (US, East Asia)
• Languages: English - native language level, excellent writing skills, including impeccable grammar and spelling; Hebrew - near-native language level.
• Professional knowledge in search engine optimization (SEO), online user experience, taxonomy and tagging, data architecture (AI), content marketing, complex content, digital marketing, analytics and testing.
• Ability to read and understand business/marketing data and context.
