About Honigman Law Israel

Through HLI, the firm enables highly capable and motivated transactional attorneys and specialists, who are licensed and experienced under U.S. law to make Aliyah or return to Israel but continue their sophisticated U.S. law practices. All HLI attorneys are licensed to practice in the U.S. and practice for HLI exclusively under U.S. law.

HLI Qualified Attorneys

Attorneys qualified for consideration by HLI meet at least the following criteria:

· Juris Doctor or LLM from a premier U.S. law school;

· At least five years of practice for a highly regarded U.S. law firm; and

· Admission to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction

Compensation and Benefits

HLI compensation is based upon Honigman’s U.S. compensation scale, modified to address the particularities of Israeli law and custom. (For reference, the current starting salary for U.S.-based first-year associates of Honigman LLP is USD$205,000.) Candidates who join HLI will be compensated based upon their experience and skill level, as determined by HLI.

A Community of Colleagues

Through HLI, the firm is creating a community of attorneys in Israel who wish to build upon their U.S. experiences and continue their legal practices for the long-term, supporting each other, building their lives in Israel, and being integral members of the larger firm. To this end, just as in the U.S., the firm provides substantial ongoing training and mentorship. Moreover, the HLI attorneys generally work on a modified Israeli schedule, which simultaneously allows for service on U.S. projects and also full lives in Israel.
