Role Description

We are looking for a Technical Writer Team Lead that will lead a team of 2-3 experienced technical writers and will author technical content.

As a team lead, you will ensure implementation of best practices and oversee quality of work.

As an author, you will create and maintain accurate and well-structured user documentation that fosters greater end-user autonomy with Harmonic products and solutions.

Location

Hybrid role – working at least 3 days a week from our offices in Caesarea.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Technical Writer Team Leader, you'll lead a talented team of experienced writers to create clear and concise documentation to support both internal and external users of our cutting-edge products and solutions.

What You Should Have

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer. Experience documenting complex Hardware and Software products from high-tech companies; Telecommunication companies are preferred.
• 2+ years of experience leading a team of at least 2 technical writers.
• Bachelor’s degree in English/Technical Writing/Computer Science/related fields. A native English speaker is preferred.
• At least one year of recent experience writing concise, topic-based content using the DITA-XML standard and familiarity with an XML editor such as oXygenXML Editor.
• At least one year of experience with a bug tracking system such as Jira.
• Recent experience using FrameMaker at a highly proficient level.
• Recent experience using the Atlassian Confluence wiki. Experience using Confluence to publish release notes or other types of documentation is a plus.
• Experience in networking – advantage
• Experience working in an Agile development environment - advantage.
• Experience working with SVN, BitBucket or another source code repository - advantage.
