Algorithm/ Data Team leader

Position brief

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Algorithm/Data Team Leader to oversee a growing team of 3 algorithm developers and 2 data scientists, while working closely with a dedicated Product Manager for the Data team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in algorithm/ML/data development, hold a CS/BSC degree, and a master's degree is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead a team of algorithm developers and data scientists
• Collaborate closely with the dedicated Product Manager for the data team
• Drive the development of Ecoplant Dynamic Controller, harnessing ML, algorithms, and simulators to optimize energy efficiency
• Engage in hands-on development tasks, including the creation and deployment of machine learning models and algorithms to production
• Monitor and adjust machine learning models and algorithms in production to maintain optimal performance
• Develop strategies to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality results by the team
• Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members to meet organizational goals

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in algorithm/ML/data development
• Exceptional leadership and communication abilities
• Proven experience in building projects from scratch, transitioning from concept to operational product in the field
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries
• Proficient programming skills in Python, Java, or other relevant languages
• Experience with ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, or Azure Machine Learning is an advantage
• CS/BSC degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus
