Quality Engineer (Development)

DRS RADA Technologies is looking for a Quality Engineer for products in development phase.

Main Responsibilities:

• Developing quality plans and strategies to ensure the developed product meets specified quality standards.
• Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product quality and reporting on these metrics to stakeholders.
• Creating and maintaining documentation, such as test cases, test plans, and quality records.
• Continuously identifying areas for process improvement and working with development teams to enhance product quality.
• Identifying and assessing potential risks and implementing measures to mitigate them.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and project managers, to ensure quality is integrated throughout the development process.
• Root Cause Analysis: Investigating the root causes of defects and working to prevent their recurrence.
• Ensuring the product complies with relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications.
• Staying updated on the latest quality assurance tools, techniques, and industry best practices.
  
  

• Proven experience of at least 3 years as a quality engineer in product development of complex hardware-based systems regulated under AS9100 standard requirements.
• Knowledge of quality control tools and methodologies like Six Sigma, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and SPC (Statistical Process Control)
• Proven experience in NPI methodologies
• Basic project management skills to plan and execute quality assurance activities within project timelines.
  
  

• Bachelor’s Degree (as a minimum) in Engineering (Electronics / Mechanics / Electronics / Mechanics / Another related field)
• CQE – advantage
  
  

• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders.
• Attention to detail, critical thinking, and a commitment to quality and safety.
• Strong documentation skills for creating test plans, test reports, and quality records.
