SW Engineering Director

We are looking for an experienced Development Director to lead one of our product development groups. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and developing successful software products and experience leading and mentoring teams of developers.

The Engineering Director will lead a team of Group Managers, Team Leads, and engineers and oversee the development and delivery of Zerto's product roadmap. This position will work closely with other departments to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a large team of engineers, ensuring that they are engaged, performing at their best, and developing professionally
• Collaborate with Product Management and other departments, including global peers, to define the product roadmap and ensure that it aligns with company strategy and customer needs
• Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations
• Work with the QA team to ensure that products are thoroughly tested and meet high standards of quality
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, ensuring that they are using best practices and staying up-to-date
• Develop and maintain engineering processes and standards, aligned with industry best practices
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in management roles, including leading over 30 developers
• Proven track record of developing successful software products from conception to launch to support in production
• Strong technical background, with experience in software architecture and development methodologies, in cloud/SaaS and on prem environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience working in an agile development environment
• Preferable – background in both startups and international corporations
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
