About the position

The R&D Director is a senior member in NIQ Activate’s R&D organization, with responsibility to grow, inspire and motivate teams. Manage software development that incorporates cutting edge big data technologies and real time analytics to build high volume solutions.

What will you be doing?

• Manage and grow application teams in the R&D: Front\Back-end development and QA
• Taking part in defining the platform’s future architecture and technological roadmap
• Grow and retain talents, manage professional development for R&D group members.
• Drive technological innovations across all disciplines.
• Maintain close work interfaces with product and delivery teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of experience as a web developer in production environment
• 4+ years of experience in managing multiple software development R&D teams for highly scalable, Big-Data products.
• Experience with scaling team size 
• Vast experience with cloud-based technology architectures
• Ability to manage and prioritize missions across multiple projects
