System & Software Architect

Description

We are looking for a System and Software Architect who is passionate about Large scale Data systems architecture, to join our Architecture team,

Our work model is hybrid, combining remote and on-site work. This allows us to get things done when and where we are most productive.

WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?

• Join the architecture team to take responsibility and ownership of system & software architecture in the field of Big data & ML systems across all of Fiverr.
• Work closely with the Data group (DS, DE and analysts), R&D group and Platform group, to help define the architecture & tooling for the multiple data solutions in Fiverr.
• Help define processes and standards regarding the realm of data systems across Fiverr (processing, ingestion, pipelines, ops, working process, etc).
• Be a focal point for cross-company collaboration in the fields of data systems and make sure of good leverage of existing assets between different groups.
• Become a domain expert in the big data & ML realms for all Fiverr teams.
• Participate in DRs, roadmapping, planning, vendor evaluation, budgeting, and other initiatives conducted by different Fiverr teams in the realm of data & ML systems.
• Help to build architecture vision and strategy for Fiverr’s data platforms.
• Create GAP analysis and work with relevant teams to create plans to mitigate the GAP and align with company strategy.
  
  

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with large scale highly available data systems (multiple peta at scale) architecture and solutions.
• Good knowledge of data processing design patterns on a large scale (ingestion, filtering, deduplication, storage, venting).
• Good HO knowledge of common data processing, ingestion and venting tools and systems (e.g: Kafka, Sprak, bigQuery, snowflake, Nifi, Flume, etc…)
• Good knowledge of different types of database solutions and their uses
• RDBMS (Postgres)
• Document (MongoDB)
• File-based (parquet, etc)
• Key Value (elastics, redis, etc)
• Experience with cost-performance optimization and planning in the realm of data systems.
• Experience with current standards and patterns of data modeling with regard to security, segregation, indexing, etc. (e.g.: RLS, DLS, etc.).
  
  

Advantage

• Knowledge of ML systems and platforms (Pytourch, Tensorflow, Spark with PySpark, etc).
• Familiarity with ML Ops patterns and tooling (training, deployment, model inference, provisioning, etc)
