What will you be doing:
- Develop and update safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to align with industry standards and regulations, ensuring compliance in transportation operations.
- Identify and assess risks, including road accidents, driver behavior, and vehicle maintenance, while providing innovative solutions to minimize these risks.
- Deliver safety training programs for drivers and transportation personnel, covering topics such as defensive driving, emergency response, and cargo securing.
- Conduct regular safety audits of vehicles, equipment, and facilities to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, analyzing root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage the entire fleet, overseeing vehicle procurement, maintenance scheduling, budget management, and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and standards.
- Coordinate driver training programs to promote safe driving practices, fuel efficiency, and proper vehicle care.
- Monitor key performance indicators related to fleet efficiency, maintenance costs, and fuel consumption, adjusting as needed to enhance overall performance.
What should you have?
- Certification from the Ministry of Transportation.
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of fleet management principles, transportation regulations, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using fleet management software and tools.
- Knowledge of automotive mechanics and maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and environmental considerations in fleet management.
- Additional certifications in transportation safety or risk management are advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years in a safety officer and leasing role in the high-tech sector.
- Proficiency in English.
