Lead System Engineer

A medical devices startup seeking a System Engineer Lead

• Lead and manage a group of System Engineers and R&D Engineers, defining their areas of responsibility, processes, and methods.
• Develop short and long-term plans for R&D projects, working closely with cross-functional teams in mechanical, software, and electro-optical domains.
• Write and maintain system and software requirements, ensuring compliance with system specifications.
• Define verification methods during feasibility phases and for final products, including the creation of test protocols and reports. Oversee system testing.
• Ensure all system design activities are meticulously documented in adherence to quality requirements.
• Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Manage relationships with subcontractors and external partners.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, System Engineering, or Physics.
• Experience: A minimum of 8 years as a System Engineer or R&D Project Manager on multidisciplinary projects is essential.
• Leadership: At least 4 years of experience in leading and managing a team or group.
• Experience in medical device development is an advantage.
• Proficiency in high-level English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Qualities: Proactive, self-motivated, independent, self-learning, and a problem solver.
