JOB DESCRIPTION:

a. Responsible for the maintenance and proper operation of the electromechanical systems and the supply and transport facilities of central services in the university buildings.

b. Management and supervision of the work of the department’s electromechanical system inspectors as well as the execution of projects by outside contractors.

c. Assistance in the preparation of an annual preventive and planned maintenance plan and being in charge of its budgeting and operation in coordination with the Head of the Maintenance Services Department.

d. Managing the budget of the department’s activity, regular control and monitoring, initiating proposals for cost-cutting and streamlining the activity.

e. Support and guidance of all aspects of the Operation and Construction Department’s projects, including examination of estimates and budgets.

f. Writing and dissemination of electrical safety procedures and assisting in the editing and management of contracts and agreements.

g. Responsible for elevator maintenance.

h. Writing and editing bills of quantities and technical specifications, characterization, planning high/low voltage electrical plans, control panels, monitoring [DB1] and control.

i. Responsible for work of the department’s team.

j. Perform additional tasks under the supervisor’s direction.

k. Subordination: BGU Engineer – Maintenance and Infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

a. B.E.E. in Electrical Engineering, specializing in strong current, preferably an M.E.E.

b. Four years’ experience in the relevant fields.

c. High voltage electrical engineer license.

d. Registered in the Register of Engineers.

e. Experience in working with electromechanical systems.

f. Preferably an electrical inspector.

g. Preferably - experience in working in an organization and managing a team of workers.
